Jacques Fabrice Vallée (September 24, 1939, Pontoise, Oise Valley, France) is a computer theoretician, mathematician, writer, ufologist, and astronomer currently residing in San Francisco, California.
In mainstream science, Vallée jointly developed the first computerized mapping of Mars for NASA and worked at SRI International in the ARPANET network information center, a forerunner of the modern internet. Vallée is also an important figure in the study of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), an initial defender of the scientific legitimacy of the extraterrestrial hypothesis, he later ended up promoting the interdimensional hypothesis.
